Conventions of Action Adventure films
- Usually involve straightforward story of good guy versus bad guy - Usually heroes in Hollywood films are patriotic Americans. - Bad guys or villains - special effects - stunts - explosions/pyrotechnics - Damsel in distress / love interest - chase scene - The good guys always win. - Exotic (or internationally recognised) locations. - Use of weapons (bow & arrows, swords, guns, knives, laser guns/phasers) - big set pieces - ticking clock scenario |
